Greg has served as Tribal Administrator of the Coharie Intra-Tribal Council for nearly half a century. He attended school in the building that now serves as tribal headquarters, and in 1966 was among the first Native and minority students to integrate Clinton’s previously all-white schools. He helped launch the Great Coharie River Initiative and guided the tribe through Hurricane Floyd and COVID. Greg is a graduate of the inaugural cohort of the NC Native Leadership Institute at UNC-Chapel Hill, a board member of United Tribes of North Carolina, a Commissioner on the NC American Indian Heritage Commission, and honorary faculty at the University of Vermont. Everything CTC is rooted in, Greg has spent a lifetime building.
Chief Executive Officer / Board Member, CTC
Tim spent 25 years in the financial world, serving as Executive Director at Oppenheimer and UBS. He holds Series 24, 53, 7, 52, and 66 licenses and built the operational knowledge and institutional relationships that now form the backbone of CTC’s day-to-day business. He relocated from the West Coast to North Carolina to lead CTC, and has been fully committed to what the Coharie are building ever since.

Issac is a board director, advisor, former attorney, and senior executive with over 20 years of experience working for, investing in, and advising high-growth technology companies. He most recently served as Chief Operating Officer of Zenefits through its acquisition by TriNet in 2022. Prior to that he held senior executive roles at Ooyala, including General Counsel, SVP of Corporate Development, and CEO, through its acquisition by Telstra in 2014. He is a founding partner of Bennu Venture Group, a stage-agnostic venture capital fund.
Earlier in his career, Issac was a partner at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich and Rosati, where he practiced for 14 years. A long friendship with Tim first brought him to CTC, and the depth of the Coharie opportunity kept him there.
Head of Human Resources (Citizen, Coharie Tribe)
Katherine Simmons Alonso is a proud citizen of the Coharie Tribe and serves as Assistant Director of the Coharie Intra-Tribal Council, where she has dedicated over 24 years of service. In her role she assists in overseeing day-to-day operations at the Tribal Center and supports a wide range of programs including human resources, tribal enrollment, health, housing, and the Great Coharie River Initiative. A graduate of Clinton High School and Sampson Community College, her commitment to the tribe shows a deep and lifelong connection to her community and her people.
